"It can sit that way for 30 days—and when you open the lid, the whole thing is fired up and ready to go in about one second."
"The 11-incher will delight you with its practical nonexistence, but disappoint you if you think of it as your main machine. But if you think of it as a satellite for a full-blown computer, you’ll be very happy with it. It’s sort of like an iPad with a keyboard."
I can definitely see me using this more than an iPad. I see the perfect mobile worker (that has lots o' money) with:
- (1) a 3.5" mobile phone, like the iPhone or Samsung Fascinate (something easy to tuck away)
- (2) a 7" tablet for quick calendaring, emailing, reading (it's one handed and truly portable)
- (2) a highend netbook, like the MacBook Air (keyboard for content production)
- (3) a powerful desktop with beautiful large screens and easy access to upgrade it's internal bits...
...then somehow keeping them all sync'd.
Personally, I feel the large tablets/iPads of the world are ultimately destined for a utility function. Very nice, but too big to cart around and just whip out...and early adopters, you look ridiculous trying to type on them - don't forget to stretch your shoulders and neck...and your bent wrists.
